I'm super excited to welcome comics writer Greg Lockard to the Yeti Cave. His graphic novel Liebestrasse was a personal favorite in 2022 so when I heard about his new Comixology original graphic novel project, Trick Pony, I knew I wanted to have him on the show to chat about it. The longline, "a washed-up rodeo star heads home to visit his father in the hospital. While on the road he confronts the mistakes of his past and the monsters of his present" really can't encapsulate at all what Jimmy Thomas gets up to on this crazy ride. The influences are varied, including weaving in a good bit of visual tapestry from the Wizard of Oz, but this goes in exciting and unexpected directions. Make sure to check it out on Comixology.
