On this episode of the future award-winning Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran has a chat with Cover 1 Buffalo podcast co-host Greg Tompsett focused on the Buffalo Bills and a spin around the NFL slate during the Bills bye weekend, a series of results that played favorably to Buffalo.

The Miami Dolphins had a great opportunity to catch the Buffalo Bills atop the AFC East, but fell at Denver to the Broncos.  In that game rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was benched by head coach in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick, who threw an interception in the end zone to seal a Denver victory.  Greg has thoughts on if Miami head coach Brian Flores made the right move and what it may mean going forward.  Plus, are the Dolphins sort of overrated?

New England also reached life support status on their 2020 season after suffering their sixth loss on Sunday against Houston, while the New York Jets were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention after a tenth consecutive loss to start the season.  They also skim through the rest of this past weekend’s slate, including Patrick Mahomes showing why he’s the game’s best player, Joey Burrow’s season coming to a horrifically painful end, the Steelers continuing their undefeated streak, the Baltimore Ravens showing signs of falling apart and much more.

Patrick and Greg also take a peak into Sunday’s Buffalo game against the Los Angeles Chargers, including the incredible season Chargers rookie quarterback Justin Herbert is having. They also have a discussion about how Greg handled the bye week, his attitude towards his live podcast immediately following games and how it can often be therapeutic, his positive outlook towards living life and much more.

Before the interview with Greg, Patrick opens the podcast by telling a story of what he considers the most exciting football game he’s ever seen in person last weekend, a game that ultimately involved his son’s final high school football career—a contest between two high octane offenses that resulted in well over 1,000 yards of total offense and 105 total points scored.
