Thanksgiving is a time to show gratitude, reflect on what we have and think about how we can make the world a better place.  I recorded this episode early in the morning, the day after Thanksgiving dinner.  It's amazing how time in the kitchen can bring lots of time to ponder life, in addition to producing culinary delights. In this episode I share childhood memories, a focus on the non-monetary values we shared growing up, and talk about lessons I have learned about life and people.  A little bit about our "Personal Inventories" and how through acceptance of who we are and how we are built differently can go a long way.

Working in the yard can be a catalyst for deep thought. From the touch of the breeze to warm sun on our backs, it's incredible how changing seasons can impact our thought processes, reflections and moods.  In this episode I share some stories from my own back yard, including lessons I have learned through mishaps, and how seasons can trigger memories from the past. From childhood memories to loss of loved ones, memories can bring joy and sadness. I share some of my own personal stories, and how I have used positive mindset to move forward.

Cluck off - I'm busy recording.  Ok, I'm being a bit cheeky.  This is my first episode in my new podcast series. I'm Lindy, and I just entered the last year in my 50's. My latest line is, "Don't mind me, I'll be 60 in a year."  It's true, I'm 59 years old and headed into a different time of my life.  I don't care anymore if my socks match or if I wore the same pants three days in a row.  Make-up or no-make up, I am still me and that's the way it is.  I'm young enough to keep learning and old enough to know better.  I'm human and I screw up.  Who doesn't?  So let's sit back, talk about life, real stuff and keep it positive.  If you're my age or older, you'll likely relate.  For younger listeners, fasten your seatbelt because someday you'll be my age.  Happy listening!
