Shane served as a Fianna Fáil TD for the Meath West constituency from 2016 to 2020 and has been a Senator in the Seanad since 2020. He is a BA in Journalism & Media Communications graduate and a Spokesperson on Media, Arts, Sport, Tourism and the Gaeltacht.

Iphi currently works as a Finance Manager at eir Ireland, and is the Co-Founder & Chief Executive of Xpensi. Xpensi is a Fintech start-up that helps businesses speed up expense management. Currently operating with Irish and British clients, Xpensi digitises the expense reimbursement cycle for businesses through a web app that allows users to capture and submit their expenses.
