In true telenovela-style, just as things start to go well for our characters, the other shoe drops. Case in point: Jane and Rafael are so close to moving in together, until Matelio breaks a $4,000 item at the flea market. Moving in with Alba doesn't go well. (She sees Rafael's penis!). 

Xo is trying to maintain a positive outlook during her chemo treatments, but reality sets in after the death of a new friend. 

Rogelio thinks he's outsmarting River Fields when it comes to the American adaptation of The Passions of Santos, but the diabolical diva has final approval and sets Rogelio up! 

And just as JR and Petra get closer, Magda makes JR doubt Petra, leading to an impasse between our new favorite couple.

There were so many declarations of love this episode. Jane and Rafael said I love you to each other! Jane and Petra said they love each other (as family). Alba said she wanted to get back together with Jorge. Darci and Ro decide not to fight anymore for the sake of Baby. And Xo continues her slow recovery after having a single mastectomy. All that and a one-eyed eyewitness (with a matching eye patch, natch) came forward to revive Petra's murder case.

This episode is all about framing. Are we seeing the whole picture of what's happening to our characters?

What we know for sure: Jane is trying to find her path after the ghostwriting book deal gets put on hold once Petra gets arrested for Anezka's murder! She guest lectures at her alma mater and runs into her former flame, Jonathan Chavez.

Rafael's real estate career may get revived with a new deal he's putting together. 

Xo thinks going back to school may be the answer for her career rut, and Rogelio tries to woo Eva Longoria to be in the American version of Passions of Santos.
