"The Most Expensive Body On Earth" Amanda Lepore's literal body of work has redefined the term "self-made woman." Growing up in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, she fantasized about the world outside of her tiny, conservative enclave. It was within these confines that she began to explore her gender identity at a young age, eventually leaving her family home to live with her soon-to-be husband's family. This was the beginning of the part of Amanda's life that has often been publicized: surgeries paid for by her father-in-law, fleeing to New York, and eventually becoming the queen of New York nightlife! In her upcoming memoir, Doll Parts, Amanda draws back the curtain to share stories few have heard. Comprised of stories gathered over the course of two years of interviews, the glossy and sexy tome pays homage to her life and work. Robbie Turner is a high-glam vintage queen with a keen eye for details & an undying commitment to the art of drag! Although the world came to know & love Robbie during her stint on Season 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race, she is a seasoned queen with 14 years of experience under her wig. Plucked from obscurity as a favor to her roommate (and reluctant at first), she soon became a staple in Seattle's drag scene & staked her claim as a theatrical performer and celebrity impersonator. Since being on Drag Race, Robbie has parlayed her fame into non-stop touring and is even coming out with a book of her short stories. She is delightfully irreverent, with a sharp wit and claws to match. In his upcoming short film, "Femme: The Film," he addresses the stereotypes associated with "femme" gay men and how they navigate the fickle and often-prejudiced environment of dating apps such as Grindr. We explored Corey's path to accepting his own "femme" identity, misogyny, gay dating apps, and RuPaul's Drag Race! God On A Wheel! Mrs. Kasha Davis, the First Lady of Rochester, rang Grizzly KiKi hoping to sell us some boxed wine and Mary Kay. Instead, we finagled her into spilling her life story into our welcoming ears! Growing up in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Kasha found that her unique personality was at odds with the small town's conservative environment. In true Rockwellian fashion, she married her high school sweetheart. Feeling stifled in the closet she had built, Kasha needed to release her true self, and in doing so, set about on the path to become the person and entertainer she is today. She found her soulmate Steven - the now-famous Mr. Davis - and built a new life that would allow to fulfill her dreams! During our interview, we learned about her upbringing, flawless maternal instincts, and personal struggles & triumphs. We also got some great insight on RuPaul's Drag Race and how to navigate a creative partnership with your spouse!
