Groundless (A Justified Podcast)

Guys. GUYS. GUYS!!! It's time for City Primeval!

Join Chris and Randy this week for a look at Season 1, Episodes 1 and 2 of Justified City Primeval. Wow that was a weird thing to type after abuot 70 episodes. This week your hosts: Wonder about just how old Raylan Givens is 15 years after the events of Justified; Introduce our new segments about the Motor City, weiner kids, and how our new villain compares to Boyd Crowder; Speculate about Raylan's seemingly endless supply of Lincoln Town Cars; Note the missed opportunity for a "roll credits" moment during Raylan's testimony; and Appreciate the consistent portrayal of local cops throughout the Justified universe.

Meet the mysterious Stranger behind all the shady real estate dealings in Harlan in this week's Justified, Season 6, Episode 2 - "Cash Game."

In this episode of Groundless, your hosts: Learn one of our guest stars was actually, no foolin', married to a member of KISS for like 10 years; Add a new clip to our soundboard thanks to our new friend Choo-Choo; Talk about one of the best shows no one talks about, The Leftovers, thanks to one of our guest stars; Appreciate that Justified won't allow another season to pass without a crooked real estate agent; and realize that Boyd's definition of brevity does not match the rest of the world's.

OK - we can't put this off any longer - it's time for Season 6, the final season of Justified!

Join your hosts this week as we look at Season 6, Episode 1 of Justified. This week, Chris and Randy: review the CV of one of Justified's most prolific guest stars to date; learn a bit about a lesser known organized crime group in our new segment for Season 6; observe a couple of interesting trends with Raylan's behavior and how women are portrayed for this season; learn what kind of jokes work (and don't work) with the French; realize that no matter how smart someone appears to be, they will almost always still misquote Thomas Jefferson; and of course, pour out some cheap shine for our Nazi buddy Dewey Crowe - RIP you dumb white supremacist sonofabitch!

Back next week for another Season 6 episode, then it's time for City Primeval (!!!!). Don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review. Check our our socials @groundlesspod and @groundlesspodcast. Thornton III - the real Drew Thompson, and discuss our production schedule for Justified Season 6 and City Primeval.

It's season finale time! No time to waste let's get to it!

Join Groundless this week for a look at Season 5, Episode 13 of Justified, an episode called, "Restitution." In this week's Groundless, your hosts:

• catch the "subtle" Jackie Brown references sprinkled throughout
• compare Dewey Crowe to Elon Musk - likely the first time ever
• appreciate a different version of "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" from Mighty Mojos
• and try to figure out why Wendy admits to Daryll that she has been recording him?

Boyd has to cooperate to literally save his skin on this week's episode of Justified, Season 5, Episode 12, "Starvation."

Join your hosts, Chris and Randy, in this week's episode of Groundless. This week, we: Use the word "penultimate" twice in the first two minutes so Chris can show off how smart he is, learn some interesting facts about the Dewey Crowe car in this week's 'corrections' segment, reminisce about TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze thanks to the director of this week's episode, witness Chris take a controversial stand on one of the most popular television shows of all time, and speculate about just how organized the Dixie Mafia is.

Does the Ava Crowder Hair Corollary apply after she cuts it all off? Find out!

Join us this week as Groundless takes a look at Season 5, Episode 11 of Justified, "The Toll." In this weeks Groundless Chris and Randy: contemplate the approaching end of Season 5 and the relative episode quality; find a Justified-Dawson's Creek tie-in despite not knowing anything about Dawson's Creek AND somehow use it to break the news that Justified City Primeval is premiering at a festival in June and will be 8 episodes long; discuss the importance of branding in the context of bad TV show and movie reboots, share our favorite Muppets (likely shocking our audience with our pick); and put in some solid one-liner work on sex toy crime thanks to our Florida Man story of the week!
