There were a lot of unexpected people who played a part in the Christmas story. Elizabeth, Mary, the shepherds all participated in God's story of redemption in their own unique way.
If God is still writing HIS story, and we know that he is the same yesterday, today and forever, is it possible that he could still use unexpected people to participate in his plans and purposes for the world we live in?

Kevin and Dawn took a big faith step with God and moved to Nova Scotia to start a men's recovery centre called The HELM. How did they have the courage to leave everything for the unknown? FAITH. They knew God would come through on his promises because he always had.

What does it look like to live freely? What does spiritual freedom even look like? Why do I know I should live one way, but consistently find myself struggling to make a change? 

A relationship with God isn’t just about getting to an eternal destination, but it’s about transformation. As you aspire to leave your old roads, paths, and patterns behind and start new patterns that point to Jesus, where do you find the strength you need to make a change in your life? How do you live in freedom? What if God has a way to strengthen you to choose what’s best? This week we are talking about the role of the Holy Spirit in our transformation.

Is there an easy way to master your emotions? When you find yourself in a 'situation' is your first response to respond emotionally or rationally? Think about these for a moment ... 

What does it mean to follow Jesus in our world today? Why are there Christians in the world who look and behave totally different than how Jesus did when he walked on this earth? What’s the point of deciding to follow Jesus with your life if you don’t see anything different about the people who say they are Christians? The answer to these questions may surprise you. 

Now more than ever there is a battle going on for our minds. The world around us is working very hard to shape the way that we think. Our world is very divided these days and our feeds are flooded with opinions and rhetoric and somehow we have to find our way through it.
What if real change in our world starts with changing the way that we think?

We often fake it in our relationships because we fear we are not enough. We believe that if people really knew us they would be disappointed. Is it possible that the reason we feel this way is because we've never experienced true community... the way God designed it to be? What does that even look like? Could it actually be possible to just be you?

Has life been beating you up? Are you tired of doing everything in your own strength? You may need a lesson in how to fight. The battle does not have the final word.
