Racism is a human problem.
It's not an "out there" problem; it's a heart problem.

To be made in the image of God means that every human being has the same inherent dignity, value, worth, and purpose. So when a person is treated as less than based on their ethnicity, race, or the colour of their skin, it is a violation of our collective humanity and of the beautiful diversity that God has embedded into his people.

Do you want to know where God calls the church to be in the midst of all this? Where He is... close to the hurting, the broken hearted, and the oppressed.

Jesus went from hero to zero in less than a week. The crowds went from cheering to mocking in a matter of days. Jesus didn’t come to conquer Rome... but he did come to rescue his people.  He came for you... he came for me... and maybe he doesn’t always give us what we want... but he gives us what we need.
