Welcome back and thank you for coming back, it means so much to me. So did you know that face washing - from technique to products, is one of the most important steps in our skin care routine? That means, it is a step that we need to get right. The market is filled with all types of face washes - face wash for acne, face wash for rosacea, face wash for eczema, face wash for oily skin, face wash for sensitive skin, face wash for dry skin, face wash for men. The list goes on and on. But beyond the type, is it possible to actually have 2 types? What would make it so? Find out on today's juicy episode.

Does it seem like your woes begin with your face wash? Yes, it came "highly recommended" but you cannot seem to shake off how dry your face gets after washing? It does seem to help with oil production sometimes and other times, it seems to worsen it. Hmmmmm

There comes the notorious acid mantle of the skin! What is the acid mantle of the skin? Is it overrated? How does it affect my ongoing skin woes? Can it aid in skin glow? Well, today's episode hopes to shed light on this important topic and steer you in the right direction when face wash shopping.

When listening, do the terms used in discussing hair loss and hair growth, sound like sldjfshfkdfsfjdfjsdfjl? Don't worry, you are not alone. Understanding is key to enjoying this podcast, and that is why in today's episode, I go over commonly used terms like alopecia, anagen, cicatricial, etc and explain them. 

I want you to use this as a reference. So anytime you are lost, or do not understand, or just want a refresher, come back to this episode and listen to the easy definitions. You can also download the episode, if your data permits. I defined them in ways that are easy to understand and remember.

Congrats on making it to the third part, as we journey through hair growth. By now, you should know what the stages of hair growth include and how this can be applied to day to day practices on your hair growth journey.

In this episode, we wrap things up and also introduce the FGF5 gene responsible for prevention of anagen elongation. I wonder how that can be applied to patients undergoing hair loss.

In today's episode, the main stages of the hair growth cycle, anagen, catagen and telogen, are explained in a simple and easy manner for you. It is important to understand how hair grows, that way, you can diagnose (to a large extent), the cause of your hair issues and know which aids might work.

Start hair - cheesy I know, if you want to understand how hair grows. In today's episode, we take it all the way back. Understanding how hair grows will help us answer so many basic questions. From understanding what's happening when hair loss occurs, to navigating how to grow hair faster and longer.
