The importance and value of reconnecting with this aspect of yourself cannot be overstated, especially at a time when technology is being increasingly used to separate you further from it. More and more, our modern societies and people are nudged to associate the ideas of safety and value with materialism, authority, science, and everything outside of ourselves. From a relentless culture of progress which values money and success above all else, to the countless legal, social, and technological distractions designed to consume every free moment of your attention, all fueled by the endless pursuit of consumption, comparison, and competition? If you reflect honestly on these things for a moment, how often do any of these aspects of our modern society actually make you feel happier, safer, or more fulfilled, and how aligned do you truly feel with the direction of our external world today?
Hi, i’m your host Adrian Petrillo, and I have had a relatively normal life as someone fortunate enough to be born and raised in the United States. I wasn’t born into a privileged family by any means, I was poor and average at best, but I had some deeply interesting and profound experiences in my life that led me to some very different understandings about the world early on, and those continue even today. Most of my adult life has been spent working in the world of technology and support, and it has suited me very well because of my genuine love for helping others. I have always loved helping others, since I was very young, it was just part of my character, and it still is today. But what I love most in life, is exploring the unknown and our true potential within.
Much of this podcast is dedicated to the tangible things you can do to create more purpose in your life, by actively connecting with your inner world in different ways to support you on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. There are many simple things you can do that don’t cost you anything, and these are available to everyone. I am a firm believer that creating any kind of meaningful change in the world always begins with ourselves, it is after all the one thing that we can control, and it does make a difference when we begin to examine and improve the ways that we view and live our own lives. We should never underestimate the positive effect we can have on those around us, by simply living in alignment with our values and our integrity. But let’s be real, it requires serious effort! You must be willing to actually do the work and be committed to making the changes you want to see, but it is absolutely possible.
The idea that we can turn our focus inward and strengthen ourselves from the inside out, and learn how to create meaningful growth and fulfillment in all areas of our life, has always spoke directly to my heart? I have always felt closely connected to the worlds of spirituality, metaphysics, and esoteric knowledge, and it is fascinating how these all have deeply influenced and shaped the human experience for as long as records have been kept. I believe there is much to be learned from exploring not only the practical, and more well known methods of personal development, but also the mystical and less scientific ways that have been used as well. Much of the unseen world is impossibly inspiring, when you learn about the unfathomable potential that has been achieved and clearly documented by humans just like you and I.
I mentioned that I came from a technology background, and it is a subject that I love and find endlessly fascinating. There is so much potential for technology to be used as a tool for the good of all, for positive change and growth, for amazing creativity and progress, for distributing hope and solutions that can make a real and tangible impact. Technology truly is a wonder of our modern world! And yet, I do not need to explain to you the effects it can have when it is not used with respect, honesty, or integrity. As someone sitting front and center to the technological revolution that we have experienced over the last 30 years, I see more clearly than most where this is heading, and I feel compelled to do something positive with what I have learned. Tell me, how many times a day do you now see someone lost in their device or phone, oblivious and indifferent to the world around them? While I may not be able to change the trajectory for everyone, I must warn people to be very wary of what technology is going to be promising you in the very near future. Instead, learn how to reconnect with your inner world, and all the wisdom and possibility that still lies deep within you! You are being distracted from creating a deeper connection with yourself and others, and this is no accident!
All these distractions in the world are doing great damage to us as human beings, and nobody seems to give it a second thought, but I do! I see it for what it is. We have lost our way, and we must reconnect with ourselves and each other on a spiritual level. Humans are amazing and perfect just as we are. We have not even began to realize our full potential within, and we don’t need technology to accomplish that, we only need patience and persistence. This is a place for all who feel this truth in your heart. There is so much magic within you that you aren’t even aware of, let’s find the path leading to that together.
