He is a fellow musician with a BA Mus degree, he is the President of the Notherns Blind Cricket Association of South Africa as well as an amazing parent. I highlight his accolades not only to praise him but to primarily shed light to the fact that despite all his merits he still has to prove his capabilities and strengths to the world simply because he is a blind man. In this episode we take deep dive into how to leverage our disadvantages in this world and how to shift the narrative from making the world accept us to accepting the world as is.

Being and person with a disability and being black is a pretty unique experience. We face corporate discrimination on a regular basis and for the most part, we’ve adapted and accepted this what it is. There is however, a more cultural type of discrimination that is rarely addressed but very real in our day to day and that is how Africans treat people with disabilities.
In today’s episode, friend to the show Mayj-C and myself discuss this very issue including his experiences as someone who owns a guide dog.
