  • 41. Book Club: The Multi-Hyphen Method by Emma Gannon - with influencer, Deborah Liubinas and entrepreneur, Greta Grace

    Hey Book Lovers!

You're listening to a GrowGetters Book Club episode! Each month we unpack, dissect, and discuss some of the hottest non-fiction releases that have the potential to positively impact your careers, and your lives!

Today we discuss The Multi-Hyphen Method (OR in the US it’s called The Multi-Hyphen Life) by author, podcaster, and self-proclaimed "Multi-Hyphenate" Emma Gannon.

This is truly a business book for the modern age.

It is both a celebration of the side-hustle, and a signpost for the evolution of work (particularly for working women).

The premise of the book is to "work less, create more, and design a career that works for you" by becoming a Multi-Hyphenate - a person who derives their income and their passion from a number of different sources at a given time.

So today, we have not one, but TWO very special guests joining us in our discussion - who are both living proof of the "Multi-Hyphen Life".

We have the brilliant Greta Grace, a successful entrepreneur, business coach, retreat leader, plant medicine advocate, and speaker who is a living embodiment of what it means to live a life of purpose. Greta wears many hats, very successfully, and is a natural-born Multi-Hyphenate!

And also joining us is the wonderful Deborah Liubinas, who is the creative force behind 3oclockstyle. Deb is a former management accountant who turned her back on the corporate world to pursue her passion for fashion. Today she is a fashion stylist, content creator, blogger, influencer, and brand ambassador. And - full disclosure here - she is also Tanyas lovely sister.

So let dive into this brilliant book that has now become our new career manifesto!!

  • 32. How to create compelling content that moves people with copywriting expert, Anita Siek

Hey guys! Welcome to #GrowGetters – the future skills podcast for smart women in business. Whether you’re crushing it in your career, your super side-hustle, or your lady startup – we have got you covered!

Today we have a very special guest joining us on the poddy. Anita Siek is the Founder and Director of Wordfetti, a human-centered brand strategy copywriting studio in Australia which is dedicated to helping brands stand out through strategic thinking, consumer psychology, and their absolutely brilliant wordsmithery. She’s also the host of Brandfetti (a wildly successful podcast that is consistently in the top ranks for marketing on the Apple Podcast charts).

From our perspective, Anita is one of the best in the business. She followed an extremely nontraditional path to copy-writing. She wasn't a journalist, nor did she have 20 years experience in PR, or Marketing under her belt. She actually was a lawyer when her love of words and the power to understand how, what, and why they need to be nurtured grew.

Anita is a true entrepreneur that side hustled Wordfetti and Brandfetti whilst working in her role as a corporate lawyer. 3-4 years on, Wordfetti now has a waiting list of customers, an online shop, and a super successful online course that’s going gangbusters.

Last year she was named one of the top 50 Instapreneurial Female Creators by Milkshake (a service from Envato) and Frankie Magazine.

Anita has so so much goodness to share and we are so thankful to have her on the podcast this week. She will help us to further understand the importance of language when it comes to communicating value and creating connections for your business or brand.

So without further adieu, lets dive into this week’s episode.
