When it comes to our kids it can easily feel like they need us more than we need them and if we begin to rely on them there is a FAT chance they will disappoint.
The truth is, yes, they will disappoint us IF we are constantly wanting them to live up to our standards the first time they put their hands to something that we have done forever and ever. Accept that they are not perfect, and just like us, they have to work through the mistakes towards perfection.
Growing in Love Together means taking on each others shortcomings. As a family we contribute to one another, no one person should contribute more. If it seems you are contributing more than your family, dive into part 2 of this series, reevaluate how much YOU are taking on and redistribute the load with these easy steps!

They need me, I don't need them...
Have you heard yourself say those words concerning your significant other?
Have you heard yourself saying those words concerning your kids?
Yea, me too.
In the first part of this 2 part series I talk about the meaning of VALUE, how the attitude of "they need me, I don't need them" really put a strain on my relationship with Dee, and how I changed my perspective.

Trust issues!!? Who has them?
I know I do...... did..... maybe still do a little. Past relationships can cause this.
Verse 3 of my song talks about trust and how to begin to trust again. It isn't easy but it sure can be done.

Hang in there as I talk it out with you my thoughts and feelings that have gone on since the events of COVID-19 began to change my work environment. This journey has taken an extreme turn and I'm here for ALL of it.

I take you through the feelings of helplessness, selfishness, and realizations as I discuss the days that my daughter was in the facility with "the crazies". You know what I'm talking about, those straight jacket slobbering people you see in the movies. I even discuss the days thereafter and how we began to grow in love together.
