Remember what Pastor Jim said when we began this study - Revelation is about one thing..... Jesus Christ and His power, His glory and His soon return to this earth. Before the millennial kingdom of the Lord is established, there are a series of events that must take place. Among them is Satan's battle for power... a battle that remarkably takes place not on earth, but in Heaven.

We're learning about one of the great battles of all time.. one that's been fought since the beginning of time and one that continues today. It's the battle for control between Satan and God. One interesting aspect of this battle, and it's one that Pastor Jim will touch on today, is that we already know who's going to win! So why would Satan put up such a fight when he knows he cannot possibly prevail?

As we continue our study through Revelation with Pastor Jim Jarrett we've reached chapter twelve where we're going to learn about one of the great battles of all time. A battle that's been fought since the beginning of time and one that continues today. It's the battle for control between Satan and God. One interesting aspect of this battle is that we already know who has won!

The last part of Revelation Chapter eleven provides a chance to step back. We're about halfway through the Great Tribulation, a time of unprecedented destruction and suffering. In Chapter eleven, we will learn about the third woe, or the seventh trumpet judgment.

We don't want to be so obsessed with prophecy that we forget the practical things of the Christian life. But we also don't want to miss the encouragement that comes from the exciting predictions found in the Word. So let's do that today. The scene moves from the earth today to heaven where we will see the kingdom proclaimed.

Today, we'll bring you part two of a message from pastor Jim centered around the incarnation of Jesus Christ. It's amazing to think about… Almighty God, because of His great love for us, sent His beloved Son to earth, to save us from our sins. That's what Christmas is all about.

Today pastor Jim brings us a message that focuses on the incarnation of Jesus. Mankind was doomed. Helpless sinners on a one way road to hell. So God, in an amazing act of love for us, sent His son to earth to die for our sins, and give is a way to spend eternity with Him. That is what Christmas should be all about.

We're talking about the reasons Jesus came, some two thousand years ago. The reasons He came are tied directly to the state of humanity back then - and today. They needed a savior the day Jesus was born, and we still need a savior today.

Today on Growing in the Word we bring you a Christmas message from Jim Jarrett you're sure to enjoy. So much of what we see during the Christmas season isn't about Jesus at all! It's about Santa Claus, Reindeers, presents, lights and a lot of things that don't have anything to do with Jesus. As our society has pretty much taken Christ out of Christmas, we're seeking to do just the opposite…. And really underscore the Christ of Christmas!
