Today on Growing in the Word, we begin a new mini-series from pastor Jim Jarrett, titled “The Believer’s Benefit Package”. Many businesses offer benefit packages to their employees. Health care, vacations, profit sharing, things like that. As Christians, we are justified by faith in Christ, and that means we have a wonderful benefit package given to us by God. What are those benefits? We’ll begin to explore that today.

Today we wrap up our look at the “one another” statements in scripture. To say this series has been challenging is an understatement. But we need to remember that if we take these “one another” and really apply them to our relationships, we will be a fantastic witness for the Lord!

On today’s program, pastor Jim begins the final message in his series  called “The One Another’s Of Scripture”. As the title implies, we have spent the last couple of weeks, looking at the one another commands found in God’s word, and what a challenging journey it has been! As Jim has said often in this series, the way we treat one another is one of the greatest demonstrations we can give to the world, of the difference God has made in our lives.

Let me ask you this - when you get together with your church family, are you as hospitable as you are with your own family? Hospitality will be the topic today as pastor Jim continues his series on the “One Another’s” of scripture. Today, we’ll focus on showing hospitality to one another. They say that blood is thicker than water, but the blood of Christ is what brings us together as a family of believers.

Our relationship with one another should be much more than the two hours we spend at church on Sunday. We are challenged repeatedly in God’s word to be much more than just a casual acquaintance. Today, we will be challenged to submit to one another, and to bear one another’s burdens. We’ll begin today in Ephesians chapter five.

Today we bring you a special message for this special day, as we remember the great sacrifice Jesus made on the cross of Calvary. He died a painful and unjust death for a wonderful reason - to save us from the penalty of our sins. But if Jesus had died on the cross, and the story ended there, we would be in big trouble. But Jesus rose from the grave and walked out of the tomb, and bridged the gap between us and a perfect and Holy God.

With all of the turmoil going on in the world right now, isn’t it a comfort to know that God is in control? This coming Sunday we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s the most significant event in human history. Can you imagine going through life in this mixed-up and violent world without the promise of eternal life in heaven? That promise was cemented in stone when the Lord rose from the grave and walked out of that tomb.

im will bring us today another message in his series on the “One Anothers” in scripture. Today, we will look at two “One Anothers” - Instruct One Another, and Stir One Another Up”. These two precepts go hand in hand, because if we are instructing one another, than certainly that is going to cause us to be stirred up for the cause of Christ. Could you use a little “stirring” today?

Our series on the “One Anothers” of scripture continues today , as we look at encouraging one another. Do you have someone in your life who is good at that? Having a friend who encourages you is such a blessing, because let’s face it - there are a lot more people out there in the world who want to tear you down! 

Today, we continue Jim’s new series titled “One Anothers”. Throughout the bible, and particularly in the New Testament,  we see these “One Anothers” - admonishments for the people then, and for us now, as to how to treat our brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, we will learn how to “build one another up”. Now, the world is hung up on “self-esteem”, but building one another up in Christ has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do with reminding each other that we are loved by God.
