  • Bipolar and beyond; breaking down stigma.

    https://www.grownuphustle.com/

We have all heard someone make the flippant comment "Have they got bipolar?" when someone seemingly has a mood swing, but what really is bipolar?

This week, I'm joined by my amazing friend and ex-housemate Elliott Foils, as he takes us through his journey of bipolar, mania, trigger factors, management, and what life with acute bipolar is like.

Elliott shares with us his manic episodes, the effect that had on his life, work and relationship; and how he has chosen to speak up and openly discuss his journey in aid of better education and support for others.

This show means so much to me, as Elliott and I go way back and have been through a lot together, and I'm so touched that he said yes to speaking openly with me and sharing his story on the show.

    Dani xx

Listen to me, Dani, as I'm joined by Lee Fuller and Terry Dunnage from the Men Cave Podcast, as we break down the inner workings of the male mind and address men's mental health.

  • HIV - The real story.

    https://www.grownuphustle.com/

So you think you're educated on HIV?

You know all the facts right?!

Well did you know that there's a plan B medication you can take if you have been exposed to HIV?

And did you know, that you can also take that same medication to prevent catching HIV if living a high-risk lifestyle?

Did you also know that AIDS is reversible?

Or that you could drink a litre of saliva and not contract the virus yourself?

Time to educate and break these myths!

This week, Jennifer Vaughan joins us to share her story of being diagnosed as HIV+ and what life with HIV is really like.

Jennifer also speaks out about the real issue, which is not the virus but the lack of education surrounding HIV.

I’m really passionate about better education on this topic, and I really hope you guys gain a better understanding and some more insight from this show too.
