We all have those days when we need encouragement. There is no need to fight it as it just happens. It is what we do to help others when they are down that defines us. Taking a step back, I want to shed some light on how you can help another person and actually help yourself in the process. When you see or hear a person that is feeling down, simply tell them “Your Got This” which will give them a serious boost of confidence. As you say this to them, feel good on the inside that you made a difference in the life of another person. Just think, that person may have been on the verge of giving up BUT can now actually muster up the energy and courage to push through the struggle. Challenge yourself to learn something new each day. Just imagine what you could learn in just five days. Do not make it hard as it is all about learning, not the complexity of the learning. The more knowledge that you gain, the better of a conversationalist you will become among other things. Make learning a life long journey!!!!!!

We all go through the Shiny Toy Syndrome looking for the bigger and better thing or simply looking at other options to what we are already using. Even though it is hard to do, one must restrain themselves as serious time and money can be wasted. Look at what you have and ask yourself why you need something else. If you do not have a decent answer, you already have the item you need. For this podcast which originated as a video for my Youtube Channel, I apply my thoughts in looking at multiple networking groups trying to find that one that works. Trust me, the networking groups all looked like the bigger and better thing but not all of them were despite looking with great intent. I finally found one (NET 2.0) that works for me and it was exactly what I needed as I did not have a networking group that worked. You can apply my message to anything that you come up against. My goal is to save you time, money, and energy by not chasing the shiny toy.

We all get into “interesting” moods or just funks. None of those are fun at all as they drain our energy. The other day, I was in a serious funk and not sure why. I did some reflecting and realized that I had not been reading my daily affirmation list that I had created. I am not sure why I had not read it in days as I know the power and benefit of reading it. Realizing the shortfall in my reading, I quickly read it and started to feel instant relief. The main takeaway here is to do what it takes to get yourself out of your funk. If you do not have a daily affirmation list, create one ASAP. Make sure that it has “I will” and “I am” statements. Do not use “I want” or “I should” statements. By using “I will” and “I am”, you are making a commitment to yourself. An affirmation list will give you your definite of purpose which will drive you through each day.

What is your challenge to yourself? Are you today, where you hoped that you would be when you said "next year I am going to be....."? Why or why not? Embrace the path that you create and enjoy the journey as a change maker!!!! You have many gifts and talents that the world needs. The answer to all of your problems is found in the following saying: focus on the solution, not the problem. That said, live in the solution!!!! Focusing on the problem will only drain you of energy and happiness. Find the value, energy, and joy in the solution.
