  • #1.6 - Create Your Own Character! Real Life, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 & GTA (Shout-Out To CJ)

Now, is the time to take the joystick and to start editing my character the way I want – furthermore, the best thing is that education is a lifelong process – so a lot of playtime, hell yeah! When you’re consciously controlling the joystick it’s like taking on complete responsibility for your life, and from that moment you’re really under no obligation to be the same person you were a few weeks ago, be that your outward appearance or your personal skills. You can just set everything to zero, reinvent yourself completely and most importantly you can finally edit your stats, or in other words: your strengths and values – the real shit.

“It’s so important to study because you create yourself, you create your shape – the shape of your soul.” - Pasquale Cammareri

  • #1.3 - Parents, Children & Expectations

As children tend to be great recorders but terrible translators we shouldn’t be too harsh towards our parents – we gotta turn into great translators as well - so, ask yourself: “Why are my parents expecting me to do this and that?” If you know their history, you start to understand, and life gets clearer. So, sometimes we gotta deploy empathy and understanding for our parents, because when we have the feeling that they are over-expecting and therefore limiting us, it is just for the reason that they don't know it better - the fear, worries and expectations that they carry around with themselves regarding their children's future is weirdly said their way of expressing their love. Thus, sometimes you just gotta make your parents aware of the fact that you’re not on this world to live up to their expectations and they’re not on this world to live up to yours. Sometimes you also gotta remind them that you grew up in a completely different culture built upon different values what means that you might have a different understanding regarding certain things. And sometimes, you gotta ask them what success actually is and if they want you to be genuinely happy.

  • #1.2 - Either We Win, Or We Learn!

It’s a mindset thing – the sooner you understand that the more you’re playing the real game. If you lose and you think that you lost, then you perceive yourself as a loser. But, if you lose and you don’t think that you lost because you learned something for yourself, then you perceive yourself as a player – a player that comes back stronger and is more likely to win “again”. The game starts and ends in the mind - your perceptions and beliefs dictate your reality – if you perceive and believe that you never lose, that is what you will experience. Our subconscious mind stores our beliefs and uses them as programs as we move throughout our day. We gotta be aware of that because then we’re gonna reprogram and therefore create a new version of ourselves, a version that neither wins nor loses, a version that plays.

  • #1.1 - Weakness? Transform It & Own It! :)

Eminem? Pasquale? Same strength, different story.

“I transform my weakness, to not use well – I don’t know very well the English – to a comic and positive way.” Pasquale is literally changing obstacles into opportunities or let’s say: transforming walls into doors by just admitting his weakness to himself, by just letting himself be him all the time – and when he makes grammatical mistakes, he’s not judging himself or being harsh to himself – he’s taking it as it is and continuing the flow, knowing his accent would make somebody else smile.

Shout-out to Pasquale Cammareri but also to Eminem for the last rap battle scene in 8-Mile where he disses himself before the other guy can - legendary! Em exposes himself freely and owns all his weaknesses, failures, mistakes, insecurities and embarrassments in order to disarray his opponent. He simply made the other guy fucking speechless by just being honest to everyone. He went through the uncomfortable to become comfortable. So, the more you stand for or the more you own (and share) your apparently vulnerable points with the world, the more comfortable you’ll get with yourself.

  • #1.0 - Pasquale Cammareri - Genuine, Humble and Real

Pasquale is such a genuine and pure human being! He is “just” the way he is – and you feel it! No need to act differently...to impress others…to match expectations…to be fake… Just real.

    We talked about
    - how his accent transforms his weaknesses
    - parents and their expectations towards their children
    - chess - sports lessons turning into life lessons
    - genuine gratitude
    - nuclear engineering
    - why it's important to study
    - and so many more things because this guy is a wise guy!

Enjoy the unique Italian accent :)

  • #0.5 - before I quit my job I said this to my parents - !!!

These five episodes are dedicated to all the young bloods that just wanna do their thing but also to the older generations because sometimes it’s worth asking yourself: What am I actually working for?

As some of you know it has been a year since I quit my job and therefore started to focus on myself completely as well as to use the precious time that is given to me for 100% the way I want. Moreover, it has also been a year since I made a Power Point Presentation for my parents to explain why I’m quitting my job and what I actually wanna do in life. A fucking Power Point Presentation? Yes. People were asking me why I’ve put that much effort into explaining my resignation to my parents – well, when your parents are immigrants that worked their asses off for decades in order to enable their children a nice future in a safe environment, they have certain expectations regarding their children and the way their children are “supposed” to do specific things - especially when it comes to choosing the “right” career path. Somebody who did not care their whole life whether they loved their work or not because they had to work to secure their existence might not understand immediately the do-what-you-love & love-what-you-do “principle”. So, sometimes we gotta deploy empathy and understanding for our parents, because when we have the feeling that they are over-worrying and therefore limiting us, it is just for the reason that they don't know it better - the fear and worries that they carry around with themselves regarding their children's future is weirdly said their way of expressing their love. And sometimes, you gotta ask them what success actually is and if they want you to be happy. I’m so glad that I did this because ever since then I feel blessed, no matter what I’m doing – Mom, Dad – I love you!
