On this special edition of the podcast we hear all about our award-winning school-based mental health program. This program is incredibly innovative and designed to increase access and reduce the cost of seeking care. This podcast features interviews with staff from two local schools who are part of the program, Hillsboro School District and Royall School District in Elroy. The program works by hiring a qualified treatment trainee (QTT) to provide behavioral health services in the local schools. The QTT has a masters in social work and is working towards their LCSW certification (Licensed clinical social worker) to do this, the QTT needs 3,000 hours of patient care time and they get this by seeing students at four local schools - providing behavioral health services on site.
