One day during class, Runner and his friend Grumpylina decide to run out the door to escape a very boring lesson. Runner manages to run all the way into the mountains, but when he leaves Grumpylina behind, he falls all the way back down and right into the Great Rift Valley in Kenya! He soon finds himself face to face with a hungry leopard, and he can’t run because the altitude is making it so hard to breathe.
Fortunately, Runner loves to offer to help, which wins over the leopard, but if Runner can’t find an alternative for dinner, he may just end up in the leopard’s stomach! However, Runner encounters a problem in the form of a large mamba snake, who stops Runner in his tracks. If Runner can’t run, how will he get out of this mess and get back to Goop World?
Runner’s journey through the Great Rift Valley will show kids the importance of exercise, but also why it’s important to slow down from time to time. Runner will need to learn how to adapt to both experiences if he wants to avoid being the leopard’s dinner. Will he be able to escape, even if he can’t run for his life? Meet us in Kenya to find out!
This short story podcast will help little ones limit their screen time while practicing active listening. As little ones confront the animals of Kenya, they will increase their attention span, engage in self-entertainment, and broaden their horizons through fun facts about new places and animals. Youngsters won’t want to leave Goop World after their run through Kenya!
