Pontypridd is gearing up for a fun-filled Summer Bank Holiday with Vintage Transport Rally and Fun Day

Pontypridd Residents will have plenty to enjoy this August Bank Holiday weekend with a fun-filled family event planned by Pontypridd Town Council.

A variety of free activities and entertainment are lined up for Pontypridd Town Council’s Summer Fun Day which will take place in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park from 11am on Saturday, August 26h.

A funfair, arena acts, a music stage, sporting activities, fairground rides,

food stalls, market stalls and much more will be on offer, including a new environmental area and a land-train – a firm family-favourite. The Town Council’s popular vintage transport rally will also return, with an exhibition in the park and a parade through Pontypridd town centre.

​The Festival of Unity is a collaboration between Project Unity, St Elvan's, Rhondda Cynon Taf Community Safety Partnership, Menter Iaith RCT YEPS, VEMS and additional community organisations

The vision of the project is to host a month long celebration of comm-unity in the town of Aberdare, with the emphasis very much on comm-unity cohesion

The festival will take place throughout August beginning with an Opening Launch Event on Saturday August 5th and culminating in a Community Conference & Performance based event at St Elvan's on Saturday August 26th

A series of additional FREE community activities will also be taking place in Aberdare and the surrounding regions throughout August, details of which are available at www.stelvans.com/festival-of-unity-activities.
