Today Pastor Kevin is joined by Kids Pastor Ginny Lee as they discuss disciple-making kids. It is never too early to start being a disciple-maker! Ginny provides some insight about how parents can cultivate a disciple-making home.

Biblical disciple-making is not the same thing as traditional evangelism as the western church knows it. Disciple-Makers are not all standing on the street corner handing out tracts. We are called to come along side others and let them into our lives so they can see how we live out our own discipleship and they can follow alongside. Much like how a parent raises a kid.

Should we talk about God's love for us without mentioning disciple-making? Today, Kevin Baker, talks about how he thinks that it is impossible to talk about God's Love without helping people see that loving God means we should live in obedience to God's commands.

Disciple-Making is disruptive to the business as usual in your church. Who is the bible were the ones who opposed Jesus and his disciple-making? It was the religious people. Today, Kevin Baker, talks about how the biggest hinderance to our collective obedience to Jesus in his call to be disciple-makers will likely come from other Christians in our churches.

Kevin Baker talks through the 7 sails of disciple-makers and gives practical next steps that you can take this week to move forward in obedience to God.

Many of our churches have historically functioned in an addition mindset, with only a few church leaders discipling folks to Christ. Multiplication can only happen when we let God take control and each of us do their part.

One of the best ways Disciple-Makers can disciple people far from God is by telling them your story. Kevin Baker, talks about his story as he explains how important it is for you to be prepared to tell your story. Be ready with a quick and long version of what your life was before, how you encountered Jesus and how your life is different now. This will help you bring it up organically in conversation and connect people far from God to Jesus.

Life with God as a disciple-maker requires constant learning and practicing. Those of us who grew up in the church often need to unlearn some of the incorrect or untrue aspects of Christian life before we can move forward into God's truth. Today, Kevin Baker talks about the importance of learning for disciple-makers.

One of the issues that is creating difficulty in discipleship and hindering disciple-making in the United States is that our lives can be very compartmentalized. Various aspects of our lives (home, work, church...) are separate and we can ack differently in different places. It is important for us to have an integrated view of life, being spiritually obvious or spiritual conversations are not limited to our home or at church. They should be happening everywhere!
