SEGMENT Interview: comic book writer Daniel Kibbelsmith
- How did you first fall in love with comics and have they been a constant presence in your life ever since?
- Did you always want to write comics? Getting a gig on a major TV show seems like a very interesting way to break in.
- Loki has been a wild series with each issue offering imaginative ideas and clever turns, but the pacing has struck me as particularly good. Do you consciously think about pacing while writing your scripts?
- There are some big ideas in Loki, so big it makes me wonder, do you have a Marvel event in you and if so who would be the lead character?
- Similarly, you have serious opinions about the world based on your Twitter. Do you see yourself doing more serious comics in the future or will comedy always find a way into your scripts?
- Do folks geek out on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert?
- What has been your proudest moment in comics?
- You keep up with politics… if you could have any character in the Marvel Universe jump into the 2020 election, who would it be?
Superfight: Superfight - Best at escaping a temple full of booby traps after stealing a sacred idol, Batgirl or Cyclops.
