Selected by the medical students and the Family Medicine Department at The University of North Carolina School of Medicine as the recipient of the prestigious 2022 North Carolina Academy Of Family Physicians' Foundation Community Teaching Award,  Dr Vickie Fowler was born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina, returned to her hometown after residency to establish Mt Jefferson Family Medicine, and now practices and teaches in Raleigh.
