When we disobey God's word, we despise God. No matter what God tells us to do or not to do in the Bible or through someone; if we disobey, we are despising the commandment of the Lord. 2 Samuel 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight?

We are the light of the world; a city set on a hill cannot be hit, so always remember that the devil can see your light, and he will try to put it out, but don't let anything quench your light, stay strong in the Lord, shine bright no matter what because if your light goes out, you will be in darkness. Then you will be cast into outer darkness at the end.
Scriptures used, are Genesis 1:14, Matthew 5:14-16, John 12:35-36, Luke 11:33-36, Ephesians 2:5-10, 1:3-7, 2 Timothy 4:1-5

The disciples were faced with a life-threatening situation in the middle of the sea, but the same storm that had killed people before will not kill you if you have Jesus. But the disciples saw Jesus walking on water. Those same waves that were against them, Peter could walk on as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. So, keep your eyes on Jesus, and don't lose focus on who you are. You are a child of the most high God, and he will always be with you, don't leave him.
Scriptures used, are Matthew 14:23, 10:1, Mark 6:46

It is a great thing to praise the Lord. God inhabits the praises of Israel. When we praise God, it gets God's attention, and God is a very present help in times of trouble. If you want to win any battle that you're facing, any struggle you're going through, begin to praise the Lord. Give him thanks, and He will give you the strength and joy you need to continue.
Scriptures used, are Psalms 34, Deuteronomy 28:13, Proverbs, 18:16, Psalms 105:2, Psalms 107:31, Ephesians 4.

Many people wonder why so many bad things happen to them, and they have no peace of mind; they wonder why God doesn't help, but it's because people push God away, leave God, and leave his protection.
Scriptures used, are Psalm 91:1-16, Matthew 6:31-34, Psalms 16:5-11, Matthew 14:22-31, Psalms 16:11-13, 2 Kings 6:18-22, 1 Peter 5:8-11.

Psalm 23
A Psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Many people think that going to church on Sunday is good enough, but it's not; the Bible says, "he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Dwell means to live and stay. When you go to work or the store, you do what you need to do and then leave, you don't live there, and that's what people do when they only go to church on Sunday. But if you want to be under God's protection at all times and keep his gifts and blessings, then you need to live with him, which means to pray always, read your Bible always, and obey his commands at all times.
Scriptures used, are Psalms 91, Genesis 3:21, Isaiah 61:10, Colossians 3:1-4, Joel 2:23-27, Psalms 62:5-8, Jeremiah 1:18-19, Ezekiel 16:8-10, Song Of Solomon 3:7-8, Daniel 3:14-25, Ephesians 6:13-18, Exodus 12:22-23.

The way you dress says a lot about you, so it is very important to be dressed in the robe of righteousness so in the last days we won't be found naked and ashamed. Living for God is not just something we do it is a lifestyle, and we must always be dressed in a robe of righteousness and the whole armor of God.

If we can't use the gifts and talents that God has given us now, then how can God trust us in heaven? If we don't use what we have to serve and worship God, He will take what He gave us and give it to someone who will use it.

To be about your Father's business is more than just going to church, reading the Bible, and praying. It is also to believe on the Lord Jesus, to spread the gospel, feed people spiritually, and clothe them spiritually. To feed and clothe people spiritually means giving them the bread of life and the robe of righteousness by introducing them to Jesus Christ, not just once but to say it enough times until they know you mean business.
The scriptures used in the lesson today are Luke 2:40, John 6:26-29, Matthew 16:5-12, John 4:31-38, Luke 14:16-24, Matthew 25:33-46, and Isaiah 58:6-9.
