Every one of us has problems; spiritually speaking, we all have a Goliath, our problems that you face. And when we approach our Goliath without God, the situation we face can seem impossible to overcome. However, with Christ, all things are possible to those that believe, making even the impossible battle possible to overcome when fought through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The scriptures used in the lesson today are 1 Samuel 17:32, Luke 21:33-34, Jeremiah 29:11-13, Ezekiel 22:30-31, Mathew 9:35-38, 1 John 2:12-14, Philippians 4:13.

What you are holding on to or refusing to let go of that is preventing you from entering into the Kingdom of Heaven and stopping you from progressing in your walk with God. If you forsake everything to follow Christ, does this mean you will have to live in the wilderness with only your Bible and have God feed you like He did the children of Israel?

Prophecying is a part of our everyday life. There are two different ways in which we can prophesy. First, when someone led by the Spirit of God is playing music or ministering and edifying others, whether in revelation or the edification of Christ Jesus, which is in the love of God in faith, they are prophecying in Truth. However, too often, people falsely prophesy according to the flesh to others, stopping those they are predicting to from hearing the truth and entering the kingdom of God.

The scriptures used in the lesson today are 1 Corinthians 14:29-40, 1 Chronicles 25:1, Joshua 18:3-6,  Amos 3:8, Ephesians 4:3-8, Matthew 13:44-46, Jeremiah 23:21-27.

First, giving honor, praise, and glory to God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ for guiding us through the first couple of chapters in the first book of the old testament. In this Bible Study Lesson 18, we will be beginning in Genesis chapter four and verse seventeen. For those who have not followed along from the beginning, I strongly encourage you to listen to the first video, The Study of Genesis - Introductory Notes, to better understand how these lessons started. Then, take your time and enjoy each video in chronological order. The first couple of video lessons on The Study of Genesis explains how to see the scriptures in faith and will help you better grasp the revelation in recent releases. Finally, there is revelation awaiting to be revealed to you within every video if you are willing to listen and listen with all your attention. Not only listening to the Word of God but being a doer of the Word guarantees you will be blessed. Now let's get into the book of Genesis.

Genesis 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. (KJV)

Cain was the firstborn of Adam, but because he killed Able, his younger brother, his birthright was taken away. As a matter of fact, Cain himself was driven from the presence of God. But, before we continue reading in the scriptures, remember how Adam was taken out of the way because of his sin? God took the first man Adam who was made a living soul, out of the way. That He would establish the second man Adam, who was made a quickening Spirit. God took out of the way the firstborn Cain to establish the child who came after. So that the elder would serve the younger. And thanks be to God that He orchestrated it this way. Because in Christ, although he was before all these things. Jesus came into the world under the law and the prophets to serve, not to be served.

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. (KJV)

In this lesson, you will see how important it is to have faith, for without faith, it is impossible to please God. It is written now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen; no matter how good we seem to live, we could be very prosperous, we could be rich, but if we don't have faith in God, we are nothing.

It is so important to be obedient. When God puts something on your heart, just do it. You cannot get to the next place God has for you until you do the first thing God has asked you to do. So many of us procrastinate, delay or even neglect things God has placed on our hearts to do, and all that does is delay our blessing or reject what God has in store for us.

Everything on this earth will either die or be destroyed but the spiritual gifts of God will never die. When God gives us a gift, a spiritual gift, that gift is alive, and we need to use it because if we don't use it God will take it and give it to someone more worthy than us. Matthew 25:28 Take therefore the talent from him and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him, that hath not should be taken away even that which he hath. God is a spirit and he gives us spiritual gifts so no matter what gift God has given you make sure you don't bury it in the earth, use it for the edifying of the body of Christ.

All praise and glory to God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ for guiding us through the first couple of chapters in the first book of the old testament. Now we're in Genesis chapter four, beginning at the first verse. For those who have not followed along from the beginning, I strongly encourage you to listen to the first video, the Study of Genesis - Introductory Notes. Then, take your time and enjoy each video in chronological order. This first published video on the Study of Genesis explains how to see the scriptures in faith. Finally, there is revelation awaiting to be revealed to you within every video if you are willing to listen and listen with all your attention. Not only listening to the Word of God but being a doer of the Word guarantees you will be blessed.

At the beginning of the fourth chapter in the book of Genesis, Adam knows his wife intimately, and she conceives and gives birth to Adam's firstborn, Cain, and says, "I have gotten a man from the Lord!"

Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord (KJV).

The first man Adam who was made a living soul, sinned against God by breaking the commandment of God. And so, through this one man's sin, the whole creation was subjected to vanity under the law. But the second man Adam was made a quickening Spirit by whose death sanctification came to all that believe in the name of Jesus.

However, because of the curse God had spoken to Adam, his firstborn son Cain would inherit the task of tilling the cursed ground. Because God would visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

Numbers 14:18 The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation (KJV).

When the fathers sinned before grace and truth came, the children's teeth were set on edge. But knowing that a man cannot be justified by his works, it is evident that Cain's work would not be accepted as a sufficient sacrifice.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified (KJV).

About Guided Way Ministries

I am excited to share what God has opened my eyes to see with you. We know that God is real. We know that God will never suffer more on us than we can bear, but sometimes it seems like the load gets a little heavy. But because our lives are hidden in Christ with God, the things that we go through, God knows we can handle as long as we stay in His will.
