Piece No2 of the Spanish Suite put together when I was staying in Madrid through the 2020 lockdown.The airport was in the distance and you could always hear the planes - but not nearly so many as I remember.

In about 1980 Outlandos D'Amour was the first Police album with the singles So Lonely and Roxanne. I followed the Police and even saw them in a downpour at Milton Keynes bowl before they split. I loved Andy Summers guitar playing and enjoyed his instrumental album Golden Wire. This Sting song lives on very well over generations. I was a little unsure whether to do it - its done now.

This suite of 4 pieces was put together during the covid lockdown in 2020. I was in Madrid for that time - teaching with a remarkable lack of enthusiasm. The part of Madrid I was living in was quite comfortably off, warm and pleasant - but I didn't deal at all well with the isolation. 

I'm not sure what he is doing now but this was a track from a really good album by David Gray - White Ladder. I likened his music to a pop version of John Martyn - but now I'm not so sure. Anyway my acoustic version uses the characteristic John Martyn percussive guitar accompaniment.
