Sometimes nuggets of wisdom are revealed to you at the strangest times and in the strangest circumstances.  You can learn something from anyone and everyone. Sometimes it's what to do, and sometimes it's what NOT to do.  

This is something I deal with on a DAILY basis.  Just as I know you do, too.  We all deal with this in every area of our lives, not just mastering our instrument...

So... you guys know I love quotes and how applicable they are to learning and mastering the guitar.  This is one of my favorite quotes that was erroneously attributed to the wrong guy!!  That's all good because it's a great quote that is fundamental in my approach to playing, learning and teaching the guitar.  It's also a great quote for living life in general.  This episode is a little longer than I anticipated, but I told you guys I'm not editing or tidying up any aspect of the content I put out, be it the podcast or videos (unless I really suck and make a huge mistake).

I’ve stripped things down a bit. Here’s why it's been awhile since the last episode and what’s going on moving forward. These principles should be reflected in your approach and execution of your playing prowess.

So...as I've told you guys before, my focus and inspirations come and go in cycles (or phases).  I've just gotten out of my Yngwie phase and headed right into my Joe Satriani phase (again...).  I figured what better way than to learn record and shoot a video of Satch Boogie??  Here is the story of the adventure (with a few nuggets of wisdom thrown in for good measure).  I'll see if I can upload the finished video here tomorrow.  Take care and keep striving forward!!
