Venezuela tiene la dicha de haber poseído compositores y genios de la guitarra, desde el ilustre Alirio Díaz quien es considerado el mejor guitarrista de todos los tiempos hasta el sublime Antonio Lauro quien fue un músico adelantado a su época.

Igualmente hay otros compositores de guitarra de mucha importancia para la historia de mi país, y uno de ellos es el legendario Rodrigo Riera, siendo sincero es la primera obra que me aprendo del Caroreño, y ha sido una experiencia increíble preparar esta fantástica pieza musical.

La obra es un Arpegio continúo desde el comienzo hasta el final, lo interesante y el reto es darle un sentido musical a ese arpegio, para eso se utiliza el fraseo armónico, que es un recurso que utilizo durante toda la interpretación.

Mi alias en Hive lo dice, la guitarra ha sido una fiel compañera en las buenas y en las malas durante toda mi vida, no les puedo decir de que ha sido todo color de rosas, todo lo contrario, he tenido momentos muy frustrantes con ella, y es que realmente no es un instrumento para nada fácil cuando se quiere tocar solista.

Pero ha valido la pena todas las aventuras que he tenido con ella, es una relación de amor y odio, hubo un tiempo en donde yo guardé la guitarra y pensé que jamás volvería a tocarla, pero gracias a Dios sentí mucha necesidad de ella y volví a retomarla, el camino de la música no es fácil, pero es una batalla que vale la pena librar.

Mi espíritu siempre ha buscado refugio en ella, es un medio por el cual desaparecen mis problemas, es un instrumento popular, uno de los más tocados en el mundo, y es al mismo tiempo uno de los más hermosos, misteriosos y mágicos.

But it has been worth all the adventures I have had with it, it is a love-hate relationship, there was a time when I put the guitar away and thought I would never play it again, but thank God I felt a great need for it and I took it up again, the path of music is not easy, but it is a battle worth fighting.

My spirit has always sought refuge in it, it is a means by which my problems disappear, it is a popular instrument, one of the most played in the world, and it is at the same time one of the most beautiful, mysterious and magical.
