Our guest today is AZ US Congressman Dr. Paul Gosar. Dr. Gosar represents Arizona’s 9th Congressional District, which encompasses much of rural western Arizona. First elected to Congress in 2010 after a career as a practicing dentist, he currently serves on the House Committee on Natural Resources, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations and serves on the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources. He also serves on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

1)What does mining have to do with our gun rights?

(No antimony - no ammo. Many gun owners may not realize: antimony is an important component in ammunition and primers. That means our dependence on foreign mineral supplies can become an issue for the firearms community as well as for national defense.)

2) You chair the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, which puts you in a position to examine the actions of federal agencies and how they manage America's lands and resources. Where are you finding the greatest need for congressional oversight and accountability right now—and how do those decisions ultimately affect people back home in Arizona?

3) You also serve on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee's healthcare-related work. You're a dentist who spent 25 years in private practice before coming to Congress, so you've experienced healthcare from both sides. What do you believe Washington misunderstands about the relationship between patients, providers, insurance companies, and government—and where would you like to see reform?

4) There seems to be a common thread running through much of your committee work—from mining and energy to the border, federal agencies, and even the Second Amendment: after more than 15 years in Congress, where do you believe the balance between federal power and individual liberty needs the most attention?

Our guests today are Congressman Andy Biggs and former Arizona State Senator Sine Kerr (pronounced SEE-nah).

Congressman Biggs currently represents Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District and previously served in both chambers of the Arizona Legislature, including as Arizona Senate President. He is now the Republican nominee for Governor of Arizona.

Joining him is Sine Kerr, his running mate and the Republican nominee for Arizona’s newly created office of Lieutenant Governor. Sine served in the Arizona Senate from 2018 through 2025, including as Senate Majority Whip, and most recently served as Arizona State Executive Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency. A fourth-generation dairy farmer with her husband Bill, she brings decades of experience in agriculture, rural Arizona, water policy, business, and public service.

1) Representative Biggs, let's start with your choice of Sine. This is the first time in Arizona history that gubernatorial candidates have selected running mates, so you weren't simply choosing someone to help win an election—you were helping define an entirely new office. What qualities were you looking for in Arizona's first Lieutenant Governor, and what convinced you that Sine Kerr was the right person for that role?

2) Sine, let's turn that around. You had already served seven years in the Arizona Senate, risen to Majority Whip, worked in agriculture for decades, and then moved into a federal role with USDA. Why did you say yes—and what do you believe you bring to this partnership that complements Andy's experience and perspective?

3) Arizona voters created the Lieutenant Governor's office, but many probably still don't know exactly what that person will do beyond being next in the line of succession. Water, land use, housing, energy, and growth are all colliding as Arizona continues to develop. 1) The 2026 Arizona legislative session is behind us, and AzCDL tracked many of bills affecting firearm owners—including bills that passed the Legislature but were ultimately vetoed. Looking back at the session, what were the biggest victories, disappointments, and lessons for Arizona gun owners?

2) Most people think a lobbyist's work happens only while the Legislature is in session, but AzCDL has also been investigating local firearm ordinances and potential violations of Arizona's firearms-preemption laws. What are you finding at the city and county level, and why does state preemption matter to an ordinary gun owner who may never set foot inside the Capitol?

Our guest today is Knox Williams. Knox serves as Senior Fellow for American Justice Policy at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI).

In 2011, he helped form the American Suppressor Association, dedicated to suppressor advocacy and education.

During his years of advocacy, he has worked on suppressor reforms across the country, including expanding lawful suppressor ownership and hunting, reducing NFA wait times, and ultimately eliminating the federal $200 transfer tax on suppressors.

And, in 2025, Knox was elected to the National Rifle Association Board of Directors.

1) One of the biggest developments in hearing protection has been the elimination of the $200 federal transfer tax on suppressors for firearms. And now we're seeing litigation challenging what remains of the National Firearms Act's regulatory structure. What has actually changed for gun owners, what hasn't, and where does the fight over the NFA go from here?

2) As a Senior Fellow for American Justice Policy at the America First Policy Institute, talk to us about the huge news coming out of the country of Colombia, where President Abelardo De La Espriella (ah-beh-LAR-doh deh lah es-PREE-eh-yah) just lifted the country's ban on owning guns, calling it "unfair" that law-abiding citizens have been left defenseless as criminals arm themselves "to the teeth." It would seem that they're following the American lead, by recognizing firearm ownership is about deterring crime and personal and family protection.

3) There is more big news brewing with AFPI's recent amicus brief filed in the Viramontes v. Cook County Supreme Court case. What is this case and how significant might it be for American Gun Owners?
