Alice describes herself as a writer, creator and marketing nerd based in London. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 when she was 26. Hearing the words "you have cancer" changed her life immeasurably, but not necessarily for the worst.

This week we introduce our second guest, Georgia Attlesey!

Georgia is a creative producer, making big ideas more accessible through culture. She's the founder of Pudding, which she describes as 'the sweet spot between arts organisations and their audiences'.  

We chat about when to make the decision to go freelance, how that's helped Georgia manage the uncertainties of 2020, and enjoy many a musing from Baz Luhrman,

This week we welcome our very first guest, Mark Bittlestone. In his own words,  Mark is a semi professional comedian, unemployed teacher and nano TikToker.

We discuss how Mark ventured into the world of comedy, fearing failure but going after things anyway, and the graft that involved in creating a seat for yourself at the table. Mark acknowledges his privilege as a cis-white-gay man, the role gender plays in comedy as well as the affect of micro aggressions and the need for having proper representation and role models.  He also tells us how he was fired from his teaching job after bunking year 7 parents evening in favour of going to the World Cup in Japan... What a man, “albeit 1/2 of one...I am gay after all”.

Guess who's back, back again...

In August we took a 3 week podcasting hiatus which accidentally turned into 3 months. Woops. 

We now find ourselves back in lockdown but fear not friends, we'll be bringing you a weekly episode of the Guy and a Gal pod to keep you entertained!
