Jason and I had a great discussion about the differences between shame and guilt. We explored what each of these emotions entails, why we experience them, and some effective strategies for managing them. In this episode, we share valuable tools that you can use to better understand and handle your emotions in turn enhancing your life experiences.
Another great conversation with Jason. This time we dive into triggers. How do certain things become triggers. Why are we being triggered in the first place. We are able to explain how the nervous system is "inflamed" causing it to constantly be on alert turning everything into a "snake" and keeping us in the fight, flight, or freeze mode. My apologies for the audio (again smh), but this was too good of interview to not publish. Enjoy and thanks again for listening!
In this episode I go over the importance of being in control of your life. Choose to be defined by the way that you react to trauma, not by the trauma itself. We cannot always control what happens around us, but we do control how we react. With this in mind we can build our foundation for our best lives after going through something traumatic. Thanks for listening!
