So great to have Blöthar the Berserker back on Talkin' Rock. If you're in the southeast Michigan area you'll be able to meet and get a photo with him at Astronomicon on March 3rd and 4th.
He tells me what's happening with the band, a lot of which he said he can't talk about yet. He did tell me that they guys are working on a very big project. Kind of an album/movie project that sounds interesting.
We talk about horror movies and the streaming service Shudder. He tells me about working with Lzzy Hale on their song "The Cutter". "She's such a great singer and great musician." He went on "We consider her a sister to GWAR".
I asked him about the future of GWAR. Is there an end date? Will other guys fill in? "GWAR is in it for the long haul"
He talks about their new "products". "There's no end to how we'll prostitute ourselves." You can check out their site for more details on that. LOL
Up next, it's former MLB pitcher, Bronson Arroyo. He has a new album out called Some Might Say. It's a very 90s based album, as he explained to me that he's just a prisoner to what he was influenced on. He put out an album of covers about 15 years ago, which he had Stephan King voice a part of it. We talked about that, as well as him asking Eddie Vedder for some tips.
We did talk a litttle baseball, and rockers who are huge fans. I've never met him before, but rest assured, I'll see him next time he's in town.
