We look at the idea that justice is a culturally dependent concept. What the word moral means, and why there are no moral absolutes. If we want to move forward, we must also remember where we came from. That goes for individuals and for nations. The saying ‘Those who do not study the past are doomed to repeat it’ rings true when we take a look at how many of our social ills continue to plague the Black community. Whether it is lack of education, lack of meaningful jobs, crime, or lack of a clear vision for our future, all our problems can be traced back to a lack of knowledge of our history and a firm understanding that we must take control of our destinies.
