Action is the foundational key to all success
-Pablo Picasso
We have WAY to much information all around us. Unplug and detach, but how?
Does taking action mean life will be easy? Hells No! We dive into sibling rivalry as we are on the hunt for a car! Come to Jesus conversations and....there were tears, and maybe some threats.
Can we help guide our kids and correct the issues they have? How? How can we be comfortable in our own skin and be in a place where we feel peace with who we are and our shortcomings....compassion. Compassion is key.
Meet Jenny Bradshaw!
Jenny has been a key player in our move to Puerto Rico. Chill with us as we talk about their experience here in PR and what they learned and how they knew it was time to leave the island.
The tears, the moments of truth, her home school experience, the 4 agreements, what brings up happiness and love. Creating space, doing less and achieving more, especially with our children.
Is moving to an island right for you?
CAUTION! Bantering does exist here! Jolly Green Giants, Hemafrodites, Bully-ers and TRUE education! SO GOOD!
Having a change of heart? Quite possibly! We are feeling good and choosing to look on the bright side. What makes our condo more livable and what flips the switch from a crappy attitude into a good one? Diving into this ocean today. The line of Sam's club was a journey in and of itself, join us for this hilarious journey through 1 average day, with 2 average peeps....or maybe 2 extraordinary people having an extraordinary day!
Dive into education and why we really send our kids to school...I love the end of this podcast! I am learning a lot, that is for sure! We hope you are too! Let us know, follow us on FB and let us know or check out our site www.gypsyfam.com, my book is almost ready for you!
Part 1 of Education.
We arrived at 4 am half asleep and with smiles!
Let the island life begin! Let the waves roll in! Let the adventure come at us, we are ready! Shoot, our condo is not super fantastic, what are we going to do?
We get into failures because life and this new adventure is bound to have many.....
We discuss the travel itself and, improve, airport fun and the nitty gritty of finding a place for our family that works!
The house is rented, the stuff is stored, the bags are packed (well almost), the shipping...oh wait, don't ship! Way to pricey! Last minute packing, what that looks like and the process of doing those last minute (and day) details.
What we are taking and what we are not.
The anticipation, the feelings of eagerness and excitement of moving to Puerto Rico and the tears that just can't be helped so we don't even try. Stored emotions that have now burst.
We have so many wonderful people in our lives that I simply adore. Feelings of gratitude and many thank you's as we set sail....
The best pleasure comes after the pain, join us as we theorize about this amazing experience.
This is a short episode, just me hiding under a blanket in my parents cabin like a 10 year old child! LOL
Crying over an ipad cover, Kombucha and my ferments, cleaning, throwing away, ship box....which is now not being shipped because shipping is SO expensive.
Missing friends and relationships already...one of my favorite stories about the people that surround us, at the end.
Saying goodbye.
2 days to Flight!
Moving day! The movers came and we podcasted (for our biz The Cultured Collective) with Sandor Katz. A lil bit crazy with the timing, but we worked it out!
Laying on our bellies podcasting late at night with nothing except our pillows, blankets, podcast gear and Puerto Rico items...what will come of this crazy experience?
Those last clothes that just don't get washed. My nemesis aka the unmatched 100 socks that my kids had been given the charge to deal with, which ends up as the biggest sock puppet party extravaganza Ever!
At this point there is nothing to do but laugh, banter and enjoy! This podcast shows just how crazy we are, my playlist and much more. All secrets are out now!
The countdown is on folks! Such great nuggets of wisdom at the end!
Hiding children, overwhelmed, jiu-jitsu, adaptability, Jake Johnston. Tips on how to get through scary movies (HA!) and much more!
Why do we get caught up in acceptance?
New concepts such as quantum physics, enjoying the journey and retraining our brains. The Alchemist.
The key to life * Start doing what you want, grow up, follow your dreams and take action. What prevents us? What hangups do we have that hold us back?
The journey continues.
Part 2
The discussion goes deeper on Mormonism and our upbringing. We dive deeper into topics that are interesting to us, and possibly you. :)
This is a part of our awareness, consciousness and healing process. What do we seek refuge in? Who are we? Are we comfortable with ourselves? We must be ok with who we are.
From the CES letter, our own research, and how this topic was brought up and dealt with in our marriage.
Cleansing our lives and staying curious.
Intent=demystifying religion, life and what really is important
Part 1
This one is sticky for me. Charles and I discuss belief systems and how many of us there are that live our lives in accordance to how we were raised. Charles and I were both raised LDS, aka Mormons. This is our story and what we have to say about this never ending topic.
Detaching from beliefs that do not serve our highest good.
I have the upmost respect and love for the way in which I was raised and the connections I have and the person I have become, because of my upbringing. Since life is about being true to who we are as individuals and finding our own way, our own truths and THE truth, this is a small part of our journey and this thing we call life.
Intent = to be open and honest with who we are, where we are at, and what we believe so that others may be inspired to live their life open, honest, without judgement and with the understanding that we are each creators of our days, our years, our lives and our world. Much love and good vibes to all y'all no matter your religious beliefs, or that lack thereof. There is no judgement, I wasn't built that way.
