We finally reach the end of Season One of Star Trek The Next Generation. But before we wrap up this season we need to discuss The Neutral Zone! What would happen if you took some people from the 20th century and dump them onto the USS Enterprise D??

The gang is all back together!!  Mike, Erin & Ben are conspiring about something alright.  Or have they just been taken over my symbiotic aliens bent on galactic domination??  Pull up a bowl of worms and tune in to find out!

Mike and Ben step into a holodeck recreation of a cafe in Paris this week to take a look at this season one episode where instead of looking at the fascinating possibilities of the multiverse, we spend an hour talking about one of Picard's lost loves.  Is that a guy slowly stroking test tubes in the corner?? 

Well, we all knew we'd get there one day.  It's finally time to talk about Tasha's death by oil slick.  It's might not be the best way to go but you can't deny that it's a very "Star Trek" way for a security guard on a landing party to die.  

Mike and Erin dive into this classic episode to see if it holds up to the passage of tiem. 

 It's that time of year again! Unlike our friends over in the Star Wars fandom, we don't have a Holiday Special to watch.  We're left searching for some hint of Christmas (or Life Day) in Trek. There are a few times our characters acknowledge Christmas and one time they had a full-out office holiday party!  Ok, that only happens in the comic book but still-- it happened!!

We're back and we're on drugs! Well, Mike is at least.  He was high on DayQuil when the gang recorded this "very special episode".  But cold medicine isn't exactly what the gang on the Enterprise encounter in "Symbiosis".  It's a treatment for the plague! Or is it just a narcotic!  Spoiler- it's just a narcotic.  

The first episode of Voyager was so much fun we came back for seconds!!  Today Mike & Ben jump into episode #2: Parallax.  Will the Starfleet and Maquis crews get along?  Could Tores, a rebel Maquis engineer handle the big job on Voyager?  Most importantly, is she ready to be Captain Janeway's best friend?!  Find out!  

This week is full of ACTION!!  In fact, Minos has seen so much action that there's... well, there's no one left.  The entire population has been eradicated by highly advanced weapons that the Minoseans themselves developed in the pursuit of profit.  Heavy, isn't it?  Well we don't have time to stop and talk about that because WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!! 

We're taking a break from season 1 of TNG and skipping ahead a few years to introduce Erin to Captain Kathryn Janeway!!  That's right- in this episode, the crew takes a look at the pilot episode of Star Trek Voyager: The Caretaker!  We meet Captain Kathryn Janeway and her intrepid crew as they face their greatest challenge-- being stranded over 70,000 lightyears from home by a powerful alien.
