Today’s guest is a designer with a sustainable branding and packaging studio.
Welcome, Denisa Parker!
Denisa calls herself a kind rebel because she loves challenging the status quo, disrupting unsustainable practices and helping others make a real difference in the world - all while being kind and leading from the heart.
She turned her passion for design and sustainable living into a design studio, Kind and Ivy. It's become a mission to help small business owners on their journey towards making a positive impact in the world. She's helped numerous brands in the lifestyle, fashion, beauty and wellness industries turn their business dreams into reality through brand identity and packaging design.

Today’s guest is an interior designer, entrepreneur, mom, and a wicked awesome Color and Pattern Mixologist.
Welcome, Nan Krueger!
It makes sense that she’s an interior designer. her parents were amateur designers--they owned a few houses over the years while she was growing up in the 70’s, and she remembers playing with their fabric samples and drafting supplies. Their furniture templates fascinated her; she drew floor plans for countless imaginary homes.
She went on to earn degrees in art history and interior design. Over the past 25 years, she’s worked for several designers, taught design classes for two community education programs, and volunteered at historic houses.
She started Groovyhome because she believes that your home can be your sanctuary, without the pain of renovating. She believes in repurposing when possible, basing your layout on your lifestyle, and using interior design to make the most of the space you've already got.

I have an exciting announcement in this episode!
After studying Business Sustainability Management at Cambridge University online, I’m becoming a Sustainability Consultant.
I’ve known personally that being more sustainable is less expensive, feels better, and is actually fun, and now I can make the business case for it so that will be the topic of this episode. (I'll also tell you about my trip to Azores.)
The focus of my work will be hotels and coworking spaces because they have so much potential to make a big impact, and it will be fun!
Follow me on Instagram @halfhippiepodcast and let's talk about what hotels are doing right and what they can do better.

Let’s talk about conscious consumerism. Today’s guest is a conscious consumer and she also advises sustainable businesses around marketing strategy and brand identity… it’s all about what conscious consumers want!
Ashlee Sang is today’s guest and she is so insightful and charming. One of my favorite things she said is
“Every single choice I make affects a real human and actually affects the environment in a real way... once I knew that, I couldn't unknow it.”
I feel the same way! Once I learned about factory farming, the dairy industry, the clothing industry, etc, I couldn’t unknow it and I now I have to make decisions with this knowledge in mind.
She also gives some great tips for people who want to be a little more conscious, and of course for sustainable businesses who want to reach more customers.
