HalfGen Podcast

So I spent much of my afternoon trying to find one particular song from the hundreds of Monstercat songs on Google Play Music that I remember listening to years ago but was inexplicably missing from my library. I didn't remember the title or much of the beat, but I remember enough that I'd know it when I heard it/saw it and that I knew I had to find it. Turns out it was More (feat. Charli Brix) from Monstercat 011 which is no longer available on Play Music along with a random number of other Monstercat albums (the song, however, is still there if you search for it). Now that I've gotten that out of my system I went ahead and made this podcast for you. Enjoy!

 

Welcome to episode 52 where we talk about how games are super weird right now. E3 announcements are coming out weeks before E3 and the show itself seemingly has no hype to speak of. The newly announced Poke'mon games are a bit of a letdown, PUBG Corp. is suing Epic, and I was way too close to the mic in this one (sorry about that!) Also, Dark Souls is easy, fight me.

 

Another week, another podcast! I'm running solo on this one and going over my recent Destiny 2 obsession and my future Valkyria Chronicles 4 obsession when that finally comes out. Never doubt my commitment to get these out to you each week.

I'm going to be a little on the serious side for this one. I've been a part of a few podcasts in my time and have never been able to have one that was truly my own (of course Ross is a part of this too but I do all the editing so I get to take the credit :D ) and make it this far. Episode 50 is a momentous occasion for us and I don't expect the next 50 to take as long to come out (we've got this podcast thing down now). We hope you enjoy this one and thank you for listening!

Chris and Mark are back at it again this week with Ross still figuratively (maybe literally) tied down with grad work. We continue to have a spoiler-free conversation around God of War and remind ourselves that E3 is only about a month away.

With Ross at the mercy of grad school, Mark returns to bring balance to the  ̶f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶  podcast. We do touch on the latest Avengers film (briefly) and continue to speak highly of God of War, and even imagine what Microsoft's E3 presentation might sound like.

A little game came out last week, you probably didn't hear about it. It's called God of War. It's okay if you aren't familiar. Here at HalfGen we tend to play more obscure games like that, some Far Cry 5, Battletech, etc. Nothing glamorous but if we don't play them who will?

Traffic is lame and Ross had plans but we still managed to make time for a podcast this week. That's dedication.

 

We finally got the podcast out there and I can't remember the last time I was so excited to release a new episode. This week we're joined by Mark for a cross-country podcast. We've got the latest on some Overwatch, the Battle Royale genre, and some new backward compatible games for Xbox One. We don't plan for these podcasts to have huge chunks of Overwatch and Halo talk. In fact, we're working on a totally separate Overwatch podcast to prevent these situations. For now, though, we are having a good time talking about Overwatch and Halo, so yeah.
