Videos showing an emaciated Israeli hostage held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip have prompted worldwide outrage.

In the footage, hostage Evyatar David is shown being forced to dig what he describes as his own grave. Mr David says he hasn't eaten in days.

Mr David was one of the people captured by Hamas at a music festival in southern Israel in October 2023.
