The 2020 inductees were unveiled yesterday for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They include Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Notorious B.I.G and T-Rex among others. Not everyone is pleased with these inductees, and some are asking if it is time for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to change its name.

Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce joins The Scott Thompson Show to talk about the government’s plan to give money to parents affected by rotating teachers’ strikes, with compensation for child-care ranging from $25 to $60 per day of missed school. Parents whose kids aren’t yet enrolled in school but attend school-based child-care centres affected by the strikes will get the most money, while those whose children are in grades 1 through 7 will get the least. Parents of secondary school students won’t get any funding, but those with children with special needs up to age 21 will get $40 per day. Scott is joined by Minister Lecce to find out more about this step.

Iran's judiciary says arrests have been made for the accidental downing of UIA Flight PS752, which killed all 176 people on board just after takeoff from Tehran last week. The announcement comes amid rising anger and protests by Iranians over the downing of the plane, and apparent attempts by senior officials in Iran to cover up the cause of the crash. ALSO: A team of investigators from the Transportation Safety Board of Canada will be given access to the Black Box recordings from the flight.

Michael McCain, the CEO of Maple Leaf Foods, took to his company’s Twitter account Sunday night to share his frustration and anger over the Iran plane crash tragedy, after a colleague of his lost his wife and family to what McCain called “a needless, irresponsible series of events in Iran.” During the series of tweets McCain called out U.S. government leaders who were “unconstrained by checks/balances” for concocting “an ill-conceived plan to divert focus from political woes.” This, obviously, has raised some eyebrows.
