Yesterday there was a protest at Queen’s Park over the recent cancellation of Ontario’s basic income pilot project. The Progressive Conservative government is defending the project’s cancellation and that the end date of the pilot would be announced later this month. Social Services Minister Lisa MacLeod says that the project is failing but where is that data coming from?
