This afternoon, at Queen’s Park, a bill will be debated on the crackdown of illegal opioid production machines. The bill would enforce fines and imprisonment for anyone illegally possessing or using a pill press machine.

One of the supporters of this bill is 19 year old Leila Attar who is at Queen’s Park today. She nearly died from an overdose on a fentanyl laced Percocet.

It was assumed that when the US pulled out of the TPP last January, the bill would be dead, but it has been quietly resurrected by 11 other signatories including Canada.
