The New Brunswick government is arguing to the Supreme Court of Canada that cross-provincial beer sales threaten Canadian federalism. This is after a case where a trial judge overthrew a charge for a man in possession of liquor while crossing the border from Quebec, saying that the charge violated the Constitution act. Why are they fighting for this?

Trump held a rally in Phoenix, Arizona last night. Trump lashed out at the media extensively, said that he might terminate NAFTA and that he will shut down the government if he doesn’t get a budget for his proposed border wall. The rally appealed to his base but why does he do it to the cost of everyone else?

The City of Oakville voted to designate Glen Abbey golf course as a heritage site. However, this doesn’t necessarily protect Glen Abbey from being turned into a housing development. A proposed development by ClubLink wants to turn the course into a mix of 3,200 residential units, office and retail space. The plan has brought heavy opposition from the public.
