  • Anglican reversal, modifying anthems and road hockey in Toronto.

    The Scott Thompson Show Podcast

The Anglican Church has decided to reverse the decision on same sex marriage completely. How does a church reverse the decision and what caused this reversal?

Guest: Bill Mous, Reverand with the Anglican Diocese of Niagara.

Last night at the MLB All Stars game, the Tenors had sung a different lyric for the Canadian anthem. They sang “We’re all brothers and sisters/All Lives Matter to the Great”, instead of “With glowing hearts we see thee rise The True North Strong and Free”.  How much of a taboo is it to alter someone’s anthem for any reason? Will this hurt The Tenors brand?

Guest: David Bright, Professor for Niagara College’s “History of Rock and Roll” class.

A Toronto councilor wants to know why it’s okay to play road hockey in places like Kingston but not in Toronto.

Guest: Christin Carmichael Greb, Toronto Councilor for Ward 16.
