As the mega party we call the 1980s screeched to a halt in 1989, what followed in the 90s was a somber time of muted color and depressing music. Near the end of the 90s the intent of the coming millennium was revealed in things like Y2K and the Anthrax hoax. Everyone wanted to party like it was 1999, but it was already too late. The seeds of fear porn had been sowed in the minds of a world not yet ready to question the narrative – which quickly descended into darkness and remains as much to this day.
