Hamm's ArborCare

Kevin talks about the end of oak pruning, the possibility of budding trees, and the search for a new Biochar kiln.

Kevin talks about mushrooms (not the fun kind), insects (not the helpful kind), and diseases that trees are susceptible too.

Kevin talks about the dangers of going with the lowest bidder.

Kevin is in Mexico at the TCIA Winter Management Conference 2024. He talks about climbing, safety, what's going on at the conference, oak pruning (still available), and storm damage work.

Kevin is as much of a master tree climber and as he is as master arborist. Today he talks details about a recent YouTube short featuring him climbing a rope to get up a 60 foot oak. Incidentally, it's now a perfect time to have oaks pruned and that perfect time doesn't last long, so get on the schedule soon.

Kevin talks about the importance of doing a thorough job, what's happening with the weather, and why it's important to have your oaks pruned soon. Like now kind of soon.

The weather is warming and the snow is coming off the trees again. Though we may have not seen the end of winter just yet, it might be time to think about spring.

Snow can add weight to branches and trees, but the canopy should be clearing soon.
