Gregory May began his career as a massage therapist in 1991 after an obscure form of massage therapy, known as Segment-Reflex Massage, helped cure him of severe, life-threatening ulcerative colitis. He immediately quit his stressful job unloading railcars and intensely studied the works of many of the great massage therapy masters such as Barbara Condon, Paul St. John, Dr. Leon Chaitow, Rich Phaigh, Dr. Ross Turchaninov, and Oleg Bouimer. He has been practicing for over 30 years and has taught all aspects of basic and advanced massage therapy programs for over 25 years. He has implemented and directed medical massage curricula at many Texas schools. Greg is proud to be the Director of the Parker University School of Massage Therapy and his door is always open for students. He leads a team of 30 + Massage Therapists providing recovery massage for the Dallas Cowboys and other area professional sports teams. My work has evolved in ways I never could have imagined. This is how I currently describe my job: I am a bodyworker/manual therapist My specialties are chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, disassociation, migraines, TMJD, neck pain, car accidents - especially whiplash and recovery from serious injury, neurological conditions, long covid. I often help people who are stuck in fight/flight and help them to stay in a more calm/grounded/regulated state. I have a lot of experience treating trauma victims and often work collaboratively with other health care providers. My training is in cranio-sacral therapy, somato-emotional release, medical massage, myofascial release, visceral manipulation, lymphatic drainage, orthopedic and osteopathic techniques, naturopathy, herbology, reiki, meditation, theta healing, I'm licensed as a massage therapist and massage therapy instructor with a certification in corrective exercise. I practice instrument assisted lymphatic drainage (Lymphstar Pro) as well as manual lymph drainage and a variety of manual therapy modalities. I teach classes for massage therapists in myofascial release, back pain, pelvic alignment, cupping, reflexology, cranio-sacral therapy, reiki/energy work, TMJ, trauma, and more. I often treat people who have suffered for years or those whose doctors can find no real answers for the source of their pain. I treat anyone who can benefit from my unique skill set. Most often I see stressed moms, postnatal, prenatal, people who spend too much time at a desk, elderly, frail, and those with complicated medical conditions or who are otherwise too sensitive for regular massage. My touch is deep when necessary, but I find that the most profound healing often comes from the lightest touch - highly focused and intentional. It is almost always gentle and pain free. I coach clients in shadow work, nutrition, natural health, non-toxic lifestyle, meditation, pain management, healing trauma that presents as chronic pain and/or limiting beliefs, movement, learning to feel, feminine embodiment, emotional regulation.

I have been studying human health and well-being for almost 40 years, and I am happy to report I still have more questions than answers! The mysterious capacity of human beings to express life, to heal, to grow, to awaken, and to evolve completely fascinates me. Using my hands, my heart, and my mind to facilitate healing is a true privilege and I am grateful for every patient and every student I have the opportunity to work with.
I began my higher education with a degree in biochemistry. While working in the field of medical diagnostic research and development, I looked into a test tube one day and realized I would not find the answers to my queries about life and humanity therein. I had to work with actual people, their bodies, minds, and spirits. Studying chiropractic at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic gave me an excellent medical education, and the skills to amplify the natural healing ability of the body through spinal evaluation and adjustment. I augmented that education with specialized training in the Gonstead Chiropractic Technique which involves in-depth bio-mechanical analysis and specific, directional adjusting techniques for optimum effectiveness and efficiency of healing.
I started my chiropractic practice in 1990 and soon thereafter began to study Zero Balancing as well. Zero Balancing is a unique, hands-on, bodywork system of healing. It combines the Western view of medicine and science from the field of osteopathy with Eastern concepts of energy and healing from the field of acupuncture. ZB affects the whole person (body, mind, and spirit) by providing both structural therapy and energy medicine simultaneously, and thereby accessing the body’s “interoceptive” mechanism of conscious awareness, self-referencing, and physical, as well as psychoemotional, resilience. It is life changing for patient and practitioner.
One of my strongest passions is teaching Zero Balancing to other healthcare providers and anyone who wants to learn about the power of conscious touch and energy medicine. I am on the faculty of the Zero Balancing Health Association and teach classes internationally.
