Linda shares her explanation of being broken to transformation.

Her past was filled with many tragedies, and with that came a feeling of being "crushed".  Her debilitating depression made her feel unsafe and unhappy.  She dealt with poverty, illness and had her jaw wired shut for it to heal.  She survived a catastrophic engine failure in a two-person airplane.  She arrived at a motorcycle accident where her son lay on the ground.  Her daughter went through surgery and another devastating occurrence happened.  She went on to speak to other life-shattering moments that led her to that place where she was shutting everything out.

It was her sister talking her into going to a retreat that turned her life around.  She explained it was not overnight, however it definitely was that first light of hope.  She said that to get to the place of feeling empowered, you have to learn and do it through small simple action steps.

Gratitude is very important.  Listening to music is as well.

Kyle went on to be the Founder of Unleash The Champ.  He believes everyone has a championship run they are destined to complete.  He said, however, that that is different for everyone.  Kyle helps with discovering,  developing, or deploying their championship run.  Some it's to scale it, and others are more confused, so Kyle helps them to find direction.

Kyle does speak about being aware of limiting beliefs, and then examine what is beneficial, what is true, and what is a "one-sided story".  From there move to reframe.

Em's dad taught her that everything is possible, and it was left with her even if he passed away when she was 10.

Em loves business and entertainment.  She said she is grateful that she gets to do both!

She feels lucky to have had a great education.   She also shares that she was very "sports" oriented in her younger age.  She then damaged her back at fifteen and was not able to do any sports for 3 months.  A friend of hers invited her to audition for a school play.  She ended up having the lead comedy role, and once in front of all those people watching, she said the performing bug got to her.

Now her friend didn't get in the play.  You will have to listen to find out what happened there. :)

Em says we have to find moments of beauty.  We need to remember to play.  Truly on a mission to make the world laugh, think, and play.  She is #1 in Romania with her Podcast Clowning Around and has her book Lessons From a Clown and it also features her Clown personality Orange, available on Amazon.

What a great time chatting with Emily.  Her story is amazing, and it was interesting when she explained how people would point out the women in the Navy.  Different to see them involved and yet it was not that long ago.

Her openness about her divorce, and later in life, her role as being there to support her ex as he was leaving this earth is so inspiring.

From there to moving from a Naval Officer and Civilian to deciding it was time to do something SHE wanted to do.  Not something people were telling her she "SHOULD" do.  We are sure that many listeners out there can relate to that.

A trailblazer, Emily was in the sixth class of women to graduate from the U. S. Naval Academy. Commissioned a Supply Corps Officer, Emily was one of the first two officers on the U.S.S, Emory S. Land, AS-39 to qualify as a Supply Corps Surface Warfare Officer. Recognized as a role model, Emily served as a Company Officer and Leadership Instructor at the Naval Academy. 

As a DON civilian, Emily served as a Contracting Officer for professional services and major weapons systems in support of Naval Aviation.
