An episode topic selected by demand from a listener, this episode does not offer much for tools but is more food for thought when reflecting on the idea of relational cheating and what these factors could mean in your own relationship.
Todays episode I focus on anxiety and explain what it is, how it might occur in a person including the functions of anxiety in our body. In the last half of the episode I talk about ways you can manage anxiety as well as what to expect in therapy for treating anxiety.
The episode for the week focuses on behavior, explained as a concept in psychology and then applied to certain areas of our life including raising kids, making new habits or perhaps accomplishing things that are fear-provoking!
For my first episode of the new year, the focus is on the concept of happiness and how to build more happiness in life, as well as practices that could be beneficial for feeling more happy.
This is my special end of the year episode that I wanted to discuss everything that's happened in my life, and a little discussion in the world and a new way of managing those feelings of stress. Keep an eye out for my new podcast with my supervisor via our agency One Life, and keep an eye out for my new social media moves on Instagram and tik Tok hopefully within the next couple weeks!!
In todays episode, I talk about what mindfulness is in a more simplified way, not doing credit for the plethora of literature that defines or describes the experience of mindfulness much better than me! I also talk about what you can do to practice the skill, and resources to start with.
This episode is aimed at both addressing the social bias against psychotherapy, as well as explaining what therapy is all about. If you have any questions in addition from this episode, feel free to post them on my FB page "Happiness on Demand". What is a secure attachment and why is it important to have one with my children? Or, what's so important about this when I don't even have children? I talk about the concept and what it means, as well as what people can do in their lives to cultivate this concept of a secure attachment.
