Happy Life Studios Podcast

For decades now I've said "before there was Steve Urkel (from the old TV show Family Matters), there was Steve Hays." But the truth is, there is a little nerd in all of us. Here's the story of a lime green one, his giant of a college professor and how they fit in to Happy Life Studios.

Once again, special thanks to James Kocian, for the use of "Bumper 1" and "Light As A Feather". Check out more of his amazing stuff here

The songs we use in this episode are "Little Flowers" by The Heritage Singers, "Father's Eyes" by Amy Grant and "Friends" by Michael W. Smith. We don't own the rights to any.

Have you ever heard of a trophy wife or trophy husband? Have you ever thought of describing yourself as a trophy? Most people haven't. Is that even healthy or is it egotistical? You should definitely listen to this week's episode.

The songs we use in this episode are "I Wish" by Skee-Lo and "Make My Life A Prayer To You" by Keith Green. We don't own the rights to either.

According to Investopedia.com, a game changer is "...an individual or company that significantly alters the way things are done as a whole." This past week I've been contemplating the life and influence of Martin Luther King Jr.—the man he was, the world-altering difference he made, and especially HOW he made that difference and the incredible brave people who helped him change the game. Even when it comes to changing the world, no one is meant to do this alone.

When you hear the word "Judge" or someone says "Don't Judge Me" it has a very negative connotation, but should it?

The song we used in this episode was "The Judge" by Twenty One Pilots. We don't own any rights.
We'd also like to, once again, thank James Kocian, for not only letting us use "Bumper 1" and "TED ish", but for actually creating them for us! Check out more of his amazing stuff here and tell him "Happy Life Studios sent you".

There is always something or someone out there warning you. Not just telling you something scary is coming, but more telling you you should panic because the scary thing is coming. Like notifications on your phone or computer. However, if you're prepared you don't have to panic. We have all sorts of RED notifications, red exclamation points popping up in life, but there really should be GREEN ones as well. For every red, scary, negative warning, there should be a green positive perspective as well. Red and Green the colors of Christmas. The colors of magic, wonder and warmth. Which is why Sarah Sharp of The 2911 Project and I say "Let it snow". Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! If we start highlighting the green notifications instead of the red ones we will have Happy Holidays as well as a Happy Life!

The songs we use in this episode are "Red and Green" by Teresa Jennings and Plank Road Publishing. "Let It Snow" by J. Howell, and "Christmas Time Is Here" by John Legend. We don't own the rights to any.

When we use the LITTLE things we have, not in big THINGS, but in big WAYS, we will receive the BIGGEST rewards of The Holidays. This episode was created while I was watching a movie called "TINY Christmas" inside a TINY house and having all kinds of Tiny thoughts that I wanted to share with all you Happy Lifers.

Here is the link of the quote I said I would include in these notes: https://www.theexeterdaily.co.uk/news/blogs/appreciate-little-things-christmas authored by Martyn Goss

The song we used in this episode was "Christmas Time Is Here" by John Legend. We don't own any rights.
